New In Box from Chris Reeve is the Aviator. This knife has been a “main stay” product for years and just recently Chris has decided to DISCONTINUE MANFACTURE of this knife.
The knife is made like all Chris Reeves fixed blade knives of a solid piece of billet steel for superior strength. The saw teeth on the Aviator are designed to offer versatility rather than excellence in any one task – they can be used to saw most material although none perfectly. This 4” bladed knife is well suited for rescue or Para-medical kits, pilots of light aircraft or helicopters. I personally carry one on my fishing trips to Alaska where I am not in need of a hunting type knife but need a strong light weight knife for general field use.
Knife overall length is 8”, with a 4” blade and weight only 5.50 ounces. Knife comes with a Bianchi type pancake leather sheath. NOTE: Handle is hollow and is great for adding whatever you feel necessary and paperwork will reflect current manufacture date.
