Here we have a real find. New in the box is an original Gerber Folding Sportsman III with the proper early Gerber Sheath (Gold Metal Mt. Peaks were only featured on their early knife sheaths). This Sportsman is in MINT condition - still retaining the paper sticker on the blade. It has not been carried and used since it was purchased and with the brass bolsters and wood inlay is reminiscent of the days when Gerber made some very high quality products.

The Gerber Folding Sportsman III was made from 1975 – 1996 and has long since been discontinued. This is no doubt an early representation and it is supported by the fact it comes in the older style orange and white box which dates it back to approximately the mid to early 1980’s. This is truly an investment grade knife.
